let us pause in life’s pleasures
“God wills that we should push on into His presence and live our whole life there. This is to be known to us in conscious experience. It is more than a doctrine to be held; it is a life to be enjoyed every moment of every day.”- A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God Living in God’s presence. I’ve learned so much about that this year. I’ve experienced it through fellowship with awesome people, through realizing that I need God’s grace every single day of my life, through learning to really love people. This year has been absolutely incredible because of it. Let’s see, what have I been up to? Well, last week some friends and I watched all three Lord of the Rings in less than a week and I spent way too much time hanging out with friends and probably not enough time working. It’s okay, though. I love spending time with people and investing in relationships. This past weekend was Campus Crusades’ freshmen retreat. We went to Emerald Isle. It was so fun getting to know people and hanging out with my best friends. And I was at the beach, so of course I had a good time. I am so blessed, God has made that very obvious to me this year. I love my life. I am learning to pause and enjoy life’s pleasures every day. God gives us so much all the time, all we need to do is look around and think about our days to see how much He loves us. ”The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, but I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10Pictures: 1.
